Marianska Górka to miejsce niezwykle. W 1715 roku mlynarz Deckert postawil na szczycie kaplice, która szybko stala sie miejscem pielgrzymek. Mieszkajacy tu pustelnicy dbali o nia, a jeden z nich zapisal sie w historii ziemi klodzkiej w dosc ciekawy sposób. Johannes Treutler uprawial ziola, z których wytwarzal „balsam jerozolimski”, niezwykle popularny specyfik polecany zwlaszcza na klopoty zoladkowe. Treutler zasmakowal w sukcesie i w towarzystwie kompanów od kielicha, co bylo przyczyna wyrzucenia go z zakonu tercjarzy. Zmarl 11 lutego 1892 roku w wieku 72 lat. Balsam jerozolimski jest do dzisiaj produkowany w Niemczech.

Marianska Górka is an unusual place. In 1715 a local miller Deckert built a chapel on its top, which soon became a pilgrimage site. It was looked after by hermits living nearby. One of them, Johannes Treutler, went down in history in an interesting way. He grew herbs, which he used for making 'Jerusalem Balsam' an extremely popular remedy recommended especially for stomach complaints. Treutler got a taste for success and the company of drinking friends, which resulted in his expulsion from the Tertiaries' order. He died on 11 February 1892 at the age of 72. Jerusalem Balsam is still manufactured in Germany.
