Before Hobbs was even on the map, old US Hwy 62 took a turn to the
north towards Lovington. This is still pretty visible on many of
the satellite images and just to the north the road took a wide
swing around a low spot. This wide spot offers plenty of parking
and muggles at times. There is a pretty good greasy spoon just to
the west. I'm sure there more history of this spot, but I'm too
young to know all the good details. Watch out for things that poke,
bite and hiss. You will not need to cross any fences to get this
one. Just park, grab, and sign.
