Geocache Description:

Long sandy beaches, palm trees, the sun hot in the sky, scantily
clad exotic tropical serving girls bringing Piña Coladas
with cocktail umbrellas... yeaa right.. but this is Birdie's annual
"Picnic" event. Last year's was on a Tor, so this year it's time
for the beach.

The beach in question is just along the coast from Looe. So, it can
be approached from along the coastpath at Looe, or for a more
interesting walk you could approach from Talland Bay, though
there's less parking there, but there is a very nice cafe! Thirdly,
you can park at the National Trust car park at Hendersick Farm,
from which there is a permissive footpath almost straight down to
the beach.

Fourthly you could arrive by sea, see the "A dry sherry or a port
maybe?" event cache listing for further details.

A linked camping event will hopefully take place, if I can find a
campsite at a reasonable price.

The Picnic will start at 12.30, the usual
formaloutdoorwetsuitactivybarefootwear would be appropriate.

Soggy and salty nibbles maybe provided subject to safe arrival!
Bring your own picnic, something suitable for a hot and sunny beach.
If the tides are Ok (I'll confirm nearer the time) there may well be a mass assault on the nearby "Monkey Island Cache"
