Start the hunt from the Pine Loganton Road using the parking coordinates. Take the trail beginning at the red gate. The cache is placed on The City of Lock Haven water shed property and is open to the public for walk in recreation, please obey the posted restrictions. EDIT the roads edge is not what it once was and parking near the gate is more of a challenge and a home and driveway have been added to the area.
It will be around a 1.5 mile round trip following the old road/trail, there is a small blow down area about 400 feet in on the trail causing some confusion as to where the trail is. The trail follows an old dirt road and you can still see the ruts in the ground left from truck tires long ago in the small area that is now overgrown, use these to help guide you though the area. Once you're past this the trail becomes much more defined and it's a nice hike to an open area holding the cache.
I recommend marking the starting point at the gate if you do not have the parking coordinates loaded in your GPSr. Just in case you do happen to lose the trail on the way back to your vehicle. The area of confusion is close enough to the road that you can hear cars passing but vehicles can be few and far between.
Congratulations to Sawyerbug and Hummel213 on the team First to Find!
