Geocache Description:

The cache is a camouflaged small sized clip box. Original contents include logbook, pencil, compass, eraser, umbrella pendant and laces. Moved on 7 July 2010 as a result of concern about barbed wire at the original GZ. The Terrain rating has been increased to reflect the variable nature of the footpath, depending on the crops being grown and the effect of ploughing.

St. Patrick’s Day Cache Series
This mini-series is set out to coincide with a nearby cache event (Beds/Bucks/Herts Bordering on the ridiculous # 27 - GC2493E) that happens to be taking place on St. Patrick’s Day, 17 March. Ideal for those attending who wish to bag some new local caches before or after the event. It seemed a bit much to expect cachers to walk a kilometre from either end of the footpath to find just one cache (St. Patrick’s Day Cache 3 is the main cache of the series), so we have added in two caches from either end to make the effort worthwhile.

At the St. Albans Road end, there is limited parking at N51 44.556 W000 24.696. Parking at the Bedmond end is not as close but it might be worth trying near the shop at N51 43.299 W000 24.646
