This cache will bring you to the site of the former "Locust St. Bridge".
The bridge was a steel railroad trestle that ran above Locust St. Since the base of the bridge was well under 13 feet, it was the cause of many incidents involving trucks. The tops of many box trucks were damaged when drivers tried to go under the bridge. As a youngster, I can remember when a tractor-trailer became wedged under the bridge and disrupted the flow of traffic for hours.
The trestle and railroad tracks were removed well over 10 years ago.
