I was visiting Hong Kong for a week when I decided to go see the Sampans. I took the #7 bus all the way to the end and four stops afterward was let off at the pier to where Sampan tours started. It was too late in the day to start a real tour so that will have to wait until my next trip but I found a great spot for a cache. Make sure you take the large #7 bus, it seems there is also a #7 mini bus as well. The one you want has always been a double decker every time I saw it.
When the #7 reaches the end of the route, the driver takes a short break and if he leaves before you are done, another bus will be along soon. Generally 15 minutes apart. You can catch the #7 in Central, to the northwest of the Star Ferry. Check out http://www.citybus.com.hk/english/home.asp for the bus routes. Cost from Central is HK$5.60 per person, each way. If you are obviously not Chinese, once the bus gets to Aberdeen, the bus driver may come by to inform you where you are. Tell him "Shek Pai Wan" and he'll understand you want to continue to the end of the route.
You are looking for a green hillside with some stone trails running up and down and across. There are trees and ivy and exotic plants all over this hill.
The cache has been moved from where it was previously. Further exploration showed that while the cache site was safe, a bit further down the hill there was some old trash. The new cache site should be fine, as long as you do not climb on anything that you obviously shouldn't. Use common sense here.
Note: The hint below states exactly where the cache was placed. If you decrypt the hint, it will be an easy find.
