Bob Bennett is a wheelchair user who has extensively researched, audited and assessed tracks and walkways around perthshire with people with disabilities in mind. Allowing them to enjoy the freedom of the countryside and encouraging places to make their footpaths and facilities accessible to all. He has produced a number of leaflets that can be picked up at tourist information centres.
The wooded valley at Quarrymill has waymarked walks that meander
along the burn, some easily accessible by wheelchairs with
wheelchair passing places along the track. Once a quarry with an
abundance of watermills along the Annaty Burn this area has now
been turned into a woodland walk, with a small cafe with disabled
facilities.
Today, the millpond is home to mallards, moorhen and tufted ducks
with a wheelchair friendly viewing platform built out over the
pond.
