Geocache Description:

Paddy O’ Brien’s Pot-O-Gold

Once upon a time there was a Leprechaun named Paddy O’ Brien. Paddy was a nice old Leprechaun, well liked and admired by all the other Leprechauns in his native county of Ireland, If Paddy had a fault, it was that he was a bit absentminded and tended to lose things.

As time went by Paddy O’ Brien started to have a hard time finding a place to hide his pot of gold. At first he had just a wee bit of gold dust, which was easy to hide. As Paddy’s gold accumulated, a few coins here, a few coins there, he needed a larger and larger container. Eventually he ended up with a pot full of gold. But where to hide it? First he tried a castle, but there was already a Leprechaun’s cache of gold there. Next he tried a nearby woods, but again there was a Leprechaun’s cache already hidden. With so may Leprechauns in Ireland there was no place left to hide the pot of gold.

So Paddy O’ Brien used some of his Leprechaun magic to go off to America where he found a spot in a patch of woods that would do just fine. Being a modern Leprechaun, Paddy used his GPSr to mark his cache, and being absent minded he wrote the coordinates down. After all the hard work hiding his Pot-o-Gold, Paddy O’ Brien decided to take a vacation. As he strolled out of the woods to start his well earned vacation, the slip of paper with the cache coordinates fell out of his pocket, to be found later by a local geocacher.

Can you find Paddy O’ Brien’s Pot-o-Gold before he realizes what’s happened? Happy caching and may the luck of the Irish be with you.

There is a “gold” dollar for the FTF, and “gold “ pieces for all other finders.
