Geocache Description:

A camera film type pot. Please replace carefully. NB this is not on the golf course side but stealth will be required!!

CONGRATULATIONS NORFOLK12 ON YOUR EXTREMELY WELL-DESERVED FIRST TO FIND!! We owe you a drink!

Aspley Guise village was first recorded in The Doomsday Book of 1086. It has remained little changed since! :) . . . . No, seriously, it has grown and developed ever since but retains a lovely village centre and village atmosphere, despite the encroachment of the new 'city' of Milton Keynes.

Aspley Guise sits on the edge of Bedfordshire, just over the border from Buckinghamshire.

The Common has remained little changed in at least the last 40 years. It has always been well-maintained and manages to cope with the demands of organised as well as ad hoc leisure pursuits. There are great views over Milton Keynes and at night the open space and proper darkness provides an opportunity for star-gazing that the artificial lights of Milton Keynes make quite difficult elsewhere.

The cache is located on the edge of The Common, close to the Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Golf Club, so please take care to approach from the common side and avoid golfing muggles.
