It has been 10 years since Selective Availability has been
disabled, and civilians have had access to accurate GPS receivers.
This has made geocaching a possibility, and Geocaching.com is
celebrating with a special series of events May 1st and 2nd. You
can read about it HERE
Geocky will be providing charcoal, plates, napkins, the finest
plastic utensils, hamdogs and hotburgers. Please bring any other

4/3/10 - We have confirmed our reservation for the Pavilion
at these coordinates! We are planning to start assembling at 11 am,
and plan on starting the grill a cooking by 12:30 - 1:00, so
everyone will still have daylight left to cache the rest of the
day. If you are coming, please note what you may bring when you
RSVP!
4/18/10 - Glad to see so many planning to attend from close
and far! We're also going to try to get some special photos with
signs for the 10-year event photo album. Geocky will be supplying
posterboard for making signs, and will have some markers on hand.
Could anyone with a desire to be artistic who has some extra art
supplies such as paints or markers please bring them along?
As of 04/27/10 We have approximately 38 confirmed attendees -
PLEASE RSVP if you have not yet - In order for Geocky to buy enough
food for all in attendance, we need a good head count. Feel free to
bring your own meat/main dish for the grill if you are not
interested in hamburgers or hotdogs. See you there!
4/29/10 - Update! We've checked the pavilion, and may not
have enough seating for the large crowd that is building, so if you
have any chairs that you can bring, please do!
