Geocache Description:

A ammo box cache with trinkets inside.

This cache is located in what was once a battlefield between John Brown and 29 others against Henry Pate and his followers. Pate had taken John Brown's two son's captive. On June 2, 1856, after a five hour battle Pate and 22 of his followers were captured and not released until Pate arranged for the release of John Brown's sons.
Some historians consider this to be the site of the first true battle that led up to the American Civil War.
After you find the cache, walk around and take in the history and the sites, several other historical markers are in this very area.
