This cache is part of our “RIP Sports Franchises”
series. All caches in this series have names of defunct
professional sports franchises, and just so happen to rest in
cemeteries.
The Providence Steamrollers were an NBA team based out of
Providence, Rhode Island. The team, which is the latest
professional team based in Rhode Island, only lasted three years,
and had an overall record during that time of 46-122.
RIP Steamrollers.
