Series of caches set up on the Penn Lake Park Hiking Trails dedicated to the local geocachers in the Marathon, Ontario area.
This series commemorates the 10th anniversary of Geocaching on May 2, 2010.
For this series, most caches are close to the trail but you will need to do a bit of bushwhacking to get to to the cache location. There may be more bushwhacking and elevation changes at some caches than others.
This becomes a significant hike when you make it round-trip to complete the series
For this cache you will need to follow the trails around Penn Lake. There are 4 trail heads available for the trails - 1) North end of campground area, 2) East side of Playground area, 3) North side of playground or 4) North end of park at Penn Lake Road.
For this cache, the closest trail head would be Trail Head 2 or 4. Once you find this cache, continue down the hiking trails to find more of the 10 Years! series of caches. Parking is available near Trail Head 1 or 2.
There are also several other caches in Penn Lake Park that are available for finding during your visit (night cache, Wherigo cache, 2 older traditional caches)
Please do not look for this cache until the "10 Years! Marathon, Ontario, Canada" event (GC248W0) on May 2, 2010 - 12:45 PM.
