Help us celebrate Geocaching’s
10-year anniversary
Join us on Sunday, May 2, at 3:00pm. We will be the only ones at
this location so stay as long as you wish. There is lots of room
for us to spread out and things for children to do, so bring along
the young ones. Bring your coins and travel bugs to trade and
discover or share in whatever way you wish. Let’s make this
10-year anniversary celebration one to remember. Before the event
is over, we’ll take a group picture to post on the
Geocaching.com web site to recognize our part in the 10-year
anniversary celebration.
We’ve not been caching for 10 years but we know there are
those of you out there that have (or pretty close). Many of you are
friends we’ve made at events and along the Geocaching trail.
This is an opportunity for you to join us to help us celebrate our
milestones (2000 finds and the Oregon Fizzy), celebrate your
milestones and recognize Geocaching’s 10-year milestone.
There should be time before and after the event to do some
caching. This is a good oppportunity for you out-of-towners to
complete or work on some of those challenges you’ve been
working on: ABC Challenge (GC1D80J), SWAG Challege (GC1KEGZ), X
Dies of Negotium Challenge (GC1FRW8), Oregon’s Century Plus
One Challenge (GC1KQZA), Geocacher of the Year—2009
(GC24HXN), Whispertim’s Dizzy Challenge (GC1YMFG , Best in
the West Challenge (GC205AK) or Disappearing-Reappearing RR Blues
Bonus (GC2417R).
Also, the mystery cache, My Father’s House (GC15GK8) is so
close you can reach out and touch it while at this event. This
event location is surrounded by many caches, some rather new and
some older ones that are still viable, just waiting to be found by
someone that hasn’t found them yet.
If you wish, bring along some finger foods or drinks (no
alcohol) to share while you’re here.
LET THE
CELEBRATION BEGIN!
