This cache has been archived.

LZ33: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Geocache Description:

On rooftop of Georgia. at 3300 ft elevation..off FS 39-The Duncan Ridge Road. Please don't leave food items, candy.gum ,oinments or anything sweet..Varmits drag the cache canister off to get these things!

Off SR 180 turn at Wolf Pen Gap. Meander down gravel FS Road 39 about 2 miles. Look for the junction and parting of Coosa Backcountry Trail and Duncan Ridge Trail. The FS Road will meet the two trails at this point. Plenty of Parking. Cache is just off Road at base of a twisty, knarly old tree that has lots burls. Some say this tree has spirits and the faces of the Ancient Ones..Cache is close to base of the tree and is a Rubbermaid canister.. The Ducan Ridge Trail is to left of the cache and heads North to top of Coosa Bald about 2/10 of a mile..Steep but panoramic view of Blood, Slaughter, Leveland and Brasstown Mountains are worth the effort..Happy Trails.,

Small note: As required by the USFS for caches hidden in the Chattahoochee National Forest the cache is prominently labeled as a geocache and the label includes the GC25HNT waypoint number and the owner's e-mail address. Enjoy!
