You would be hard pressed to find a cacher who has opened a log
book, scroll sheet, etc and not seen Fishnic written right up at
the top of at least one of them. Fishnic, the ultimate FTF Hound.
Until recently I called him my patawan learner. He has now left the
nest and gone on to bigger and better things, faster than any other
cacher.
He started caching a long time ago, found a couple and then
didn't come back until recently, and of course by "recently" I mean
2 years ago. He is approaching (or recently passed - depending on
when this gets published) his two year anniversary of "really
caching" (March 30th). On that day he found my
Bovine Royalty cache (among others). The next day, he and his
son,
Cache in Motion, placed their
first cache. It looked familiar when I found it (FTF
naturally).
Later on, Fishnic, who I often affectionately refer to as "You
suck" caught the FTF bug. If I remember correctly, his exact quote
was "HOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLL!" and the rest, as they say, is
history.
It's always a fun ride tagging along with Fishnic. Whether you
find yourself waking up REALLY ridiculously early in the AM, or
tromping through foot-deep snow, or entering a FP late at night, no
new cache is safe.
About the cache. This short, two stage multi is located in a FP
which pretty much belongs to Fishnic and his hides. I believe one
other cacher shoe-horned in a hide of their own before Fish drove
his flag into the ground. In fact, I was barely able to squeeze
this one in on the periphery. It is placed to be enjoyed along with
Fish's other hides in the area, including the Bears Retired Numbers
series,
This Little Piggy and
Pentagon at Linne Prairie. The final container is a silver
painted ammo box, traditional with a 1000th find. Stage 1, is a
container that is consistent with an attribute of Fishnic that we
discussed at length once in our GONIL chat room; one which I find
amusing to no end. I hope you enjoy it because he probably
won't.
This cache was placed along with KAd the minicacher, Dinaworks
(my new patawan) and her two minicachers.
