Geocache Description:

This is a Bench Mark style cache. Many Bench Mark coordinates are only close, some within one hundred feet, but I've found some that have posted coordinates that are five hundred feet off. Most were placed before GPS and a written description was used to locate them.

This cache is located less then a hundred feet from the posted coordinates. Your GPSr will get you close just like a real bench mark. you can use your GPSr to project way points using known landscape features and distances in the description. Most bench mark descriptions start with a known place such as a post office, city hall or some place in a near by town easy to locate. You can start at what ever point you choose, I usually go to the posted coordinates and then use the clues in the description and my GPSr to locate the bench mark. This is meant to be fun yet provide a challenge for some of the more seasoned veterans. If you feel that the description is in error, you can e-mail me with the updated info and I will try to update the description just like a real benchmark.

To find the cache, read the description below, use what ever part of it you need to to locate your prize and don't forget to sign the log.
