Information
Another cache & dash at another tail on the Romney Marsh.
The signpost says Folkestone 12 miles and in the opposite direction Rye 18 miles.
The signpost is for the National Route 2 of the National Cycle Network, and is a long distance cycle route which will link Dover in Kent with St. Austell in Cornwall when complete via the south coast of England and is sometimes referred to as the South Coast Cycle Route.
The route is only fully open and signed between Dover and Brighton, but is still under development between Brighton and St. Austell.
After doing some research it appears that the signposts are not tails at all, but it is fascinating to research this yourself.
