Tinamba is a dairy farming town in Victoria, Australia, located on
Traralgon - Maffra Road between Heyfield and Maffra, in the Shire
of Wellington, and like most small country towns has a general
store, but more importantly a pub. At the 2006 census Tinamba and
the surrounding area had a population of 500.
In 2007, Tinamba suffered two 1 in 100 year floods.
In June 2007, Tinamba and nearby Newry were devastated by floods
which caused damage to homes and properties, backed up again by
another flood in November.
The towns were mostly spared, with reports of homes suffering
water damage but the relief effort was massive with quite a few
locals airlifted out of the area by RAAF rescue assets before the
flood peaked. Although now back in business, there was a time when
where you will be standing to retrieve this cache was up to your
waist in water, and you’d need scuba gear to even think about
going into the hotel’s cellar!
The cache is an urban camo magnetic micro in plain sight. You
will need to exercise some stealth in retrieval as not everyone has
eyes in the back of their heads.
As usual, Good Hunting!
