Geocache Description:

Princetown is the highest village on Dartmoor, home to the once notorious Dartmoor Prison, is usually in the mist or being rained on!

Princetown is a good place to mooch around on a not so fine day when you cannot walk on the Moor. There is much to offer with the fine new Craft Centre, 2 pubs, 2 cafes and a micro brewery, which brews Dartmoor Ale and Jail Ale.
There is also the Dartmoor Prison Museum with its grizzly artefacts from times gone by.
On a good day there are good views to be had from this lofty village.
