Geocache Description:

Cache is a non-typical manufactured container located in southern York County. Cachers are encouraged to take a pack of seeds as your “reward” for finding the cache.

We have decided to place a second “Grandma’s” cache, as this time we would like to honor my grandmother, Lidie Stewart. The cache is located on the farm where Lidie and her husband Jim raised six girls, the oldest of which still owns the farm. My grandmother had a huge garden every year along with numerous flower beds around the farm house. So inside of the cache container we have placed numerous seed packets, for both flowers and veggies, for you to use.

As for the cache itself it is located along a farm field that has a great view of the surrounding farmlands. Cache is placed with owners permission, but please be respectful of crops planted in the field.

Stewart Road is a public road, but it is not maintained. Therefore driving a low clearance car up to the parking coordinates from Frosty Hill Road is not advisable due to many water breaks. However you can drive down from Good Road with relative ease. When parking, use the pull off area towards the field. If you want to see the home place, park at the intersection of Frosty Hill and Stewart (along with all the fishermen) and hike up behind the red barn.

Congrats to Pappy! for the FTF!
