Geocache Description:

Dinner and celebration at 5pm at the Scenic View Restaurant

Happy Birthday Geocaching! May 3rd celebrates the 10th anniversary of geocaching. So we're celebrating with a lovely dinner at The View Restaurant.

This restaurant is actually a frequent visit by many geocachers after their caching adventures at Lake Monroe, so we thought it was fitting to celebrate here. A menu can be found at http://www.scenicviewrestaurant.com/menus.html

PLEASE do me a favor and RSVP on the event cache page as soon as you decide you might be coming, so I can let the restaurant know how many to expect. We are a very large group so far. This is a family-friendly event, so please bring the family and be conscious that we'd like this to be a family-friendly atmosphere! I honestly might need a new location if we have too many people, so PLEASE RSVP before the weekend!

UPDATE:
Hey everyone! Our event is tomorrow and I hope you are as excited as I am to celebrate our favorite hobby! We're at 47 people who RSVPed so far. The maximum indoor capacity of the Scenic View is 50 people, so let's hope for no rain! We'll be trying to sit outside as it holds more people, so we can be together and mingle.
The Scenic View has arranged for some extra staff for the evening to accommodate our group, but we've had alot of people RSVP today and I'm sure that there will be some that show up without RSVPing, so if we get more than 60 or 70 people, I will have to arrange a limited menu. They have warned that large groups may have slower service if we order alot of different things, but I didn't think that would matter to anyone because we'll be busy socializing. I would highly encourage families to order pizzas (a large is a 17 inch pizza. They're BIG) so that your kids will have some food fast. Appetizers for tables are advised, as we might have to wait for our large order of food to get in. And pitchers for tables were highly encouraged as well.
