Salterns Way is an 11 mile cycle and wheelchair route from the centre of Chichester to the sand dunes of East Head. This route follows quiet roads and cycle paths through the countryside. It has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and is managed by Chichester Harbour Conservancy.

Here you can stop off and refresh yourselves in the public bar and restaurant - free parking - watch the boats pass through the lock in and out of the marina and enjoy the wildlife on the canal.

The Chichester Ship Canal runs for four miles into the basin at Chichester and is one of the few remaining sections of the Portsmouth to Arundel Canal, a part of the inland waterways that would take you into London.
