Tour De Scott Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Max Cacher: Greetings from Geocaching.com

It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or let it remain archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Tennessee Geocacher

Geocache Description:

We decided to do this a little different. In addition to finding the points, you also get a nice day in the country and some exercise. As you ride around please use caution. Some of our local drivers can get a little close. If you decide to visit the Museum ask if Bev is there. She would like to meet other Geocachers. There is a small fee to tour the State Museum, but it is well worth the price.
  • Start at the Plantation Agriculture Museum N34 41.704 W092 05.804
  • Ashley’s Mills-Civil War Marker N34 42.106 W092 05.755
  • Turn Left at N34 42.803 W092 05.495
  • River Crossing-Civil War Marker N34 43.159 W092 07.255
  • Turn Left at N34 40.613 W092 07.578
  • Turn Left at N34 40.630 W092 05.909
  • Ending back at N34 41.704 W 092 05.804
Scott is a farming community that dates back to the Pre-Civil War times and has a few interesting sites. As you return to the Museum you will pass Cotham’s (One of Bill Clinton’s favorite lunch spots). If so inclined, they serve a great Burger (Hubcap), and I’m told their Catfish is good.
