Geocache Description:

Part of the Riverside Way series of caches.

I adopted the Holme Valley Riverside Way series of 24 caches last year but as a few were missing and in need of some attention, I have decided to refresh them, fill in the gaps with new hides and incorporate some of my own caches on route. This is a 6.5 mile route that takes you from Digley Reservoir near Holmbridge, to the hamlet of Magdale, near Honley. The route takes you through some of the Holme Valleys best kept secrets, so, what better place for a major series of geocaches? The route follows all kinds of terrain, from paths, roads to muddy footpaths, (and can be quite muddy in some places depending on the time of year), but is pretty easy going overall. There are a few alternative routes along the way, so don’t worry too much if it looks like you are leaving the trail at any point. To fill in the gaps, I have had to re-number one or two caches, but have kept the name… If you have found these previously, then there is no need to re-do them. Hope you enjoy them. Andy The cache is a medical sample container (unused) It is a short detour from the trail, so once found, you must double back to rejoin the Riverside Way. FTF - bluewhitereg!
