Geocache Description:

Third Course – Salad: We are offering you a selection of seasonal greens top-dressed with fresh blueberries and honey-roasted Texas pecans drizzled with our homemade blueberry vinegrette. Close your eyes and succumb to the rich and complex flavors that tap dance across your tongue!

There's a small FTF bit of swag in the lid, so be careful opening it!

Ever since snizsnaz tempted me out to chase the main course of Chicken Fried Blueberry Steak along this trail, I thought I would add to the temptation by making this a full five-course spread. (Who knows? I may add an appetizer and soup at some point!)

All of these “dinner” caches are not meant to be difficult hides even if they are micros. They are generally chest to head high (4-6 feet). Any camouflage or displacement from the trail is simply meant to obscure the container from muggle-eyes. They should be snow friendly (depending on snow accumulation) until possibly late winter.

The Powerline trail going south from Glen Alps provides low-difficulty hiking/biking and beautiful vistas. There is less than 1000 feet of elevation from the parking to just below the Pass in the south at the headwaters for the South Fork (a little over six miles one-way). There are many other caches along the route with relatively minor detours. It is my hope that with the increased concentration, many more will enjoy this easy passage. The other wonderful thing about this route is that is can be the starting point to other, more challenging hikes and climbs … eastern approach to Flat Top and Mahogany Ridge; the back way into Rabbit Lake; the transit to Indian; and the peaks and valleys surrounding Anchorage to the southeast (Williwa, O’Malley, etc.) Some of the caches out here are dying for visitors!

Bon appetit!
