Geocache Description:

PLEASE DO NOT DAMAGE STRUCTURE WHILE SEARCHING!!!!!

Park at the gravel parking area near the dam(N34 32.632 W083 58.306). From this spot you can see the area of the cache. It is roughly a 3/4 mile walk one way if you use the trail across the dam (about 45 min round trip). Stay on the trail longer than you think you should so you avoid some rough terrain. I have walked this trail, but I actually placed this cache using a kayak (much easier but park at boat ramp). Either option is well worth it.

If you do the loop collect the other caches along the way (3 others at this point). This homestead used to sit right near the creek that passed through here before the dam made the reservior. How nice would it be to have your house there right now? BYOP and tweezers may be helpful retrieving the log.
