Geocache Description:

There is an ancient pit right by the trail up to Ikoma mountain area, which was supposed to be a rock chamber of a tomb.

This pit chamber belongs to Yamahata Kofun-gun (Group of Yamahata Ancient Tombs) which were built in the 6th to 7th centuries in this area. This is one of valuable pits preserved today.

Find a tree standing upper left of the pit entrance and follow it to the base where a 35mm film cache is hidden.

Kintetsu Hyotanyama Station is the closest. And there is a municipal museum down the road, too.

For those who wish to come down all the way from "Seseragi cache, please read following instruction given by Hidenobuyuki. Thanks Nobu!
"After finding Seseragi cache, you see the paved wide trail goes across a bridge over a creek. Immediately after going over the bridge on your left side, there is an entrance to the trail along the creek. Following the trail all the way down along the creek, you will arrive at the Ancient Pit."
