Along the Tahakopa River Estuary walk in Papatowai where large Rata trees cascade into the Estuary sending new limbs skywards.
Cache is not accessible at high tide, but a very easy 10min dry walk over sand at half tide or below. In between may require scramble around slippery rocks. Access from near south end of bridge or from parking at S 46° 33.704 E 169° 28.456. Cache is 1.5 litre easily accessible from right side of reclining Rata and placed 2m from shore
