Geocache Description:

This bridge used to always be green so all the locals still refer to it as “THE OLD GREEN BRIDGE”, although the last time they painted it a different colour.
I have heard my father say that this is the longest single span steel bridge ever built.
He said when he was a kid they used to dive off the bridge into the water. I don’t think the water is deep enough to do that now.
Paddlewheelers used to come up past this point in the river.
