Top Dog!!! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

This is a small Rubbermaid container located in Durand Park in East Freehold, NJ.

This is my first cache ever. My parents take me here for walks most every night because it's right near my house. I always feel like a TOP DOG when I am here. There is so much interesting stuff to see: Geese Honking, Humans Fishing, Deer running, Humans walking and running, Other Dogs!!. Rumor has it that the famous mountain lion of Western Monmouth County had been seen near here. If you see us, please say hi!! The cache is great for holding small tradeable and trackable items. I put some cool stuff in here. Thanks to Dad for helping me buy everything, doing the administrative work, and of course MILKBONES!! See you on the trails!!!

Be careful of Poison Ivy and Ticks!!!

About Durand Park:

The importance of Durand Park to wildlife increases continuously as surrounding forests and farm fields disappear under houses, parking lots, or roads. The Park and areas like it are becoming virtual oases for birds, as they can still provide food, a resting place and shelter from the weather and from predators, given that they retain a great deal of the fauna and flora natural to the region. Another advantage to Durand Park is the fact that it is a managed site, which aims at maintaining its habitat diversity. All these characteristics benefit both the bird species that stay in the region year around and those which, during migration, stop to rest and feed before continuing North in Spring or South in the Fall.
