Geocache Description:

Come one, come all to an event at Tuttle Creek State Park, River Pond Area! This event is part of the Fireside Chat series of activities at the Park, and is open to all geocachers. While the actual event starts at 7:00 pm, there's enough things to do in the Riverpond area to make a day of it, so we're having a picnic too, starting at 6 pm. The picnic will take place at the listed coordinates, and will be a "bring your own food" type of picnic. We'll have the grill hot and ready to go.

The Fireside Chat portion of this event will be an Introduction to Geocaching, and an opportunity to chase several of the caches hidden in the area. We also welcome seasoned (grizzled?) cachers to share their knowledge, experiences, and fondness for the game, and hopefully bring some new players to this great pastime. We'll certainly have a great time seeing everyone again, and look forward to meeting new
friends!

As plans stand now, we have the shelter reserved for the entire day. Besides the picnic and introduction to caching, we will also be having s'mores later in the evening. During the campfire, we will play some geocaching games and swap stories.. There are about a dozen caches of various types in or near the Park to be found, and we'll have a few "event caches" out as well. We're planning to be there sometime mid-day, and will post a note as the picnic plans come together.

6:00 pm- Picnic starts
7:00 pm - Sign-in
7:15 pm - Introduction to Geocaching
7:45 pm - (Rough estimate) Let everyone loose to hunt geocaches!
9:30 pm - S'mores and campfire chat

As a reminder, a KDWP Vehicle Park Pass ($4.20 for a single-day) is needed to access this event.

Hope to see ya there!
