Stavsjø kirke
ble innviet i 1880, sju år
etter at byggingen tok til. Byggearbeidene stoppet opp i
flere år på grunn av dårlig økonomi.
Kirken er bygget av stein. Alterbilde er malt av kunstmaler
og fotograf Finborud, og er en kopi av Eilif Pettersons
alterbilde til Johanneskirka i Kristiania.
Kirken er pusset opp flere ganger. Blant annet ble det lagt
tregulv i 1955 og i 1972 ble murpussen fjernet fra veggen, slik at
steinene kom til syne.
Kirken har ca 260 sitteplasser.
Orgelet er fra 1975, bygd av Jan Spigseth,
Fjellhamar.

blyant, FTF certifikat og en liten gave til første

Inaugurated in 1880, seven years after construction began.
Construction work stopped for several years due to bad
economy.
The church is built of stone. Alter picture painted by artist and
photographer Finborud, and is a copy of Eilif Petterson alter photo
of Johannes Church in Christiania.
The church was renovated several times. Among other things, was
laid wood floors in 1955 and in 1972 the plaster removed from the
wall, so that the stones came into view.
The
church has about 260 seats.
The
organ is from 1975, built by Jan Spigseth,
Fjellhamar.
