This cache is a bright, shiny, red buffalo tube just a short few steps from the newly paved Valley Park Trail. A very easy walk, but not really accessible to wheelchairs or strollers due to sand and loose soil.
When I was just a little guy, My family used to drive "way out to Valley Park" to visit friends who lived in a house along the old River Road. I still have lots of fun memories of summer days hanging out by the river. Now that the Meramec is just about finished taking back her banks, there are but a few remaining relics to show that, once upon a time, people called this place home.
