Geocache Description:

The Old Farm Ruins Cache is located in Loantaka Brook Reservation, offers 5 miles of multi-use paved trails stretching throughout the park. This Morris County Park got its name from the Native American Lenni-Lenape Tribe. Loantaka means "the place of the cold winter" which refers to the Great Swamp and surrounding area.

Please be careful looking around these old ruins as there is debris everywhere from this old homestead.


Please note that this area is very overgrown in the summer months, and it may be better to do this cache in colder weather when to growth is not an issue.
