I met a very strange person while out caching the other day. He was hidden behind a shrubbery and I naturally assumed he was a geocacher, but I didn't spot the telltale GPS nor the familiar acknowledgment as he spotted mine. Nethertheless, he ran up to me and started vigorously shaking my hand. "Hi my name is Brendan". Now this is puzzling, because I don't think I know any Brendans, but I responded "Hello Brendan, I'm Neil".
"I've, er, mislayed my pet orangutan Constance while exercising her". How on earth does one mislay an orangutan I thought, and why would anyone call her Constance?! "Can you help me search for Constance?" said Brendan. Ah, just like a cache that moves - I mused. "Er, yeah sure, where did you last see her?". So we spent a fun couple of hours hunting for a lost orangutan. Eventually we found her sitting on a humongous tower of bananas. A pile perfect for a monkey!
I'm trying something new this time for checking coordinates. This has nothing to do with the puzzle. They use certitude a lot in California. I think it has a better interface and allows bonus information to be displayed when the puzzle is solved.
