This cache is in a series of caches dedicated to the geology of
the Pacific Northwest. To reach this cache, you will be hiking up a
rough boot track a very short distance. Before visiting this cache,
I highly recommend that you visit the
Northwest Geology Field trips website and read the information
provided there. I will usually print the pages to take with me so
that I can find the geological structures discussed by the author
of the website, David Tucker. In addition to the geology of the
area, detailed driving instructions can also be found there
After finding the cache, continue on up the boot path a hundred
feet or so and you will enter an area that is rich in plant
fossils.
The cache is an 50 cal ammo located at the base of a large rock
to the right of the trail heading up.
