I first learned of
this area while hunting down the nearby geocache
Pelican Point by
Nechochwen. Since then this area has become one of my favorite
places to ride my mountain bike. There are trails all throughout
the area of which are great for walking or riding. I have seen lots
of wildlife while out here, and a little stealth might yield you
the same. I'm always on the lookout for a good cache hiding place,
and I couldn't help but stop and check this spot out. You are
looking for a small tennis ball sized lock-n-lock just off the
trail. Enjoy the view.
You can park at the Canoe
Launch and either enjoy a nice stroll along the river
walking/biking path that meanders through the woods or simply use
the gravel path along the dike.
