Another beautiful place to visit while passing through the scenic town of Camperdown.
Lake Bullen Merri is a freshwater lake formed by volcanic activity in the region thousands of years ago.
The lake is now a popular spot for water skiing and picnicking during the warmer months. The area around GZ is known as 'North Beach' by the locals, and although the boat ramp has been closed for some time, the area is still popular for fishing, swimming and "other activities" (so we're told!) .

Access is via a good gravel track leading off Sadlers Road (just keep following the track and you will come to it - no 4WD required). The cache, located only a short walk away from the parking area, is a small Sistema, and will be maintained by relatives in Camperdown.
