Located between the East Ridge and Phillips Loop trails on the east side of Redwood Regional Park.
I am forever appreciative of the foresight and wisdom of those folks back in the 1930's who created the East Bay Regional Parks and protected so much of the ridgetop (and more). Check out the history at ebparks.org.
The cache is just downhill from a great view spot and bench, but if you choose this approach beware of poison oak. Less of the plant if you come from below, none at the cache itself, but plenty in the vicinity.
