Geocache Description:

This is one of the Eastern access points to the Vischer Ferry Preserve & NYS Game Management Area located off Riverview Road.

After recently locating many of the preserve's caches I realized how spectacular this area truly is for multiple uses of recreation and historical education. All of the caches here are some of the oldest in the region and the views are exceptional so I figured that some new start-up caches at the trailheads wouldn't be a bad idea to bring people back and explore. To those who are new to the preserve, welcome. Hopefully this cache will help get your journey started should you be choosing an entrance from the East, however this cache will prove to be much more elusive than the other 2. If you have any headaches, blame gunner453006, he gave me the idea!

Before entering, note that the Vischer Ferry Preserve has strict hours posted from 6am-10pm. During one week in the middle of October this area is closed in its entirety except to duck hunters. The week of closure will be noted at the trailhead.

P.S. - Close the container real tight before you put it back, and replace the camo cover as you found it. It's a micro I recovered from an archived cache in Vermont and have now recycled here even though it's a little busted up. Do your part .
