Geocache Description:




Bracken St Memorial Park
The location of this cache will bring you to a little known park located at the end of Bracken Street in Petone, that houses a Memorial to those soldiers from Petone who fell during WW1 and WW2. This cache was placed in the lead up to ANZAC Day, as a tribute to those who "endured hardships, faced danger and finally passed out of the sight of men by the path of duty and sacrifice."

About the cache
The cache is a small container with room for a logsheet only. Best bring your own writing stick if you wish to log your find. Due to past dampness issues, please make sure you replace the cache container "standing up" with the lid at the top so that water doesn't get in.

About the location
To get to the cache location, proceed to the end of Bracken Street and look out for the park on the left hand side of the road. There is plenty of car parking, unless you arrive on a Saturday morning during the football season!

I am using a log sheet for all Geocachers to record their success, and when it is full, I will scan the logsheet and attach its image to this cache entry as an archive! Please let me know when the logsheet is nearing maintenance time and I will supply a new sheet.
