Geocache Description:

I didn't like the location of the first one, but I liked the concept and writeup so I found a similar structure in town and started over. Enjoy!

Q: What's more useless than a man who talks to fish?
A: A teenage boy who talks to fish.

Aqualad, like most of the comic kid sidekicks of the 50s and 60s,
had an origin and powers almost identical to the superhero he
partnered up with. Kicked out of his Atlantean home as a child for
being born with purple eyes, young Garth roamed the seafloor,
learning the language of aquatic creatures and how to survive among
the harmless schools of fish that TERRIFIED him into his teen
years. After rescuing Aquaman from some situation that a real
superhero would have had no trouble escaping, He joined up and
fought crime with him and the equally useless, but much more
attractive Aquagirl. Once Aquaman had a family and moved on and
Aquagirl realized she had better things to do than command dolphins
to stop surfing bank robbers, a lonely, depressed Aqualad joined
the Teen Titans, where he became slightly less lame by association.
Finally his big day came, when an encounter with some shark people
gave him REAL powers and he became Tempest, elemental badass. It
just goes to show, inside every Aqualad is a Tempest waiting to be
released. Your own personal sharkmen are out there waiting for you,
you just have to be willing to look.

This is a micro placed in honor of the lad and the legend, we all have places
we need to go, why not cache along the way? Always carry a quarter for the phone.
