Geocache Description:

Cette multi-cache vous propose une promenade le long du sentier botanique de la forêt domaniale de Saints-Geosmes à la recherche d’un des plus vieux chêne de cette dernière. Vous serez alors content de profiter de l’ombre offerte par les arbres de la forêt en période estivale. Cette cache, idéale à faire en famille, vous emmènera à la découverte des différentes essences d’arbres, de plantes et de leurs fruits…

Et si l’envie vous vient de voir la forêt sous un nouvel angle, vous pourrez également profiter du parc Sensation Nature situé juste à côté…

Départ à partir du parking situé en :
N 47° 48.857
E 005° 19.852

1- Depuis les coordonnées de votre stationnement, entrez dans la forêt en empruntant le petit sentier situé tout à droite presque en bordure de champ. Suivez-le puis notez la hauteur pouvant atteindre le Pin Noir d’Autriche : de AB mètres à 3B mètres.

2- Continuez alors le parcours et rendez-vous devant le Charme et le Sorbier.
Là, notez la hauteur maximale du Charme qr mètres et pour trouver C faites l’opération suivante : r-q=C.
Notez ensuite le nombre d’appellations locales du Sorbier : x et le nombre de fruits représenté : y.
Faites ensuite l’opération suivante pour trouver D= y-x.

3- Poursuivez le sentier botanique, la prochaine étape se trouvant au niveau du Cerisier à Grappes.
Notez alors le nombre de lettres qui composent son nom latin : w et le nombre de fruits sur l’image : z.
Il ne vous reste qu’à soustraire le nombre de fruits au nombre de lettres : w-z= E.

4- Rejoignez ensuite le Genévrier Commun. Comptez alors de nouveau le nombre de lettres qui composent son nom latin vt.
Additionnez alors les deux chiffres du nombre trouvé pour découvrir F=v+t.

5- Pour terminez cette série d’étapes, rendez-vous devant le Groseillier Noir. Notez alors le nombre de lettre de la seconde partie de son appellation latine pour trouver G.
Notez ensuite la dernière utilisation culinaire du fruit et comptez le nombre de lettre pour trouver H .

This hiding place, ideal to make in family, will take you to the discovery of various species of trees, plants and their fruits …

And if the envy has just seen you the forest under a new angle, you can also take advantage of the park “Sensation Nature” situated just close …

Departure and car park at :

1- Since coordinates of your car park, enter the forest by borrowing taking the small path situated quite to the right almost in border of field. Follow it then note the height which can reach the Black Pine of Austria: of AB meters in 3B meters.

2- Continue the course and go to the Charm and the Sorb. There, note the maximal height of the Charm qr meters and to find C make the following operation: r-q=C.
Note then the number of local naming of the Sorb: x and the represented number of fruits: y.
Make then the following operation to find D = y- x.

3- Pursue the botanical path, the next stage being at the level of the Cherry tree in Clusters.
Note then the number of letters which compose its Latin name: w and the number of fruits on the image: z.
You have only to subtract the number of fruits among letters: w-z=E.

4- Join then the Common Juniper. Count then again the number of letters which compose its Latin name vt.
Add then both figures of the number found to discover F=v+t.

5- For end this series of stages, go in front of the Black Currant bush. Note then the number of letter of the second part of its Latin naming to find G.
Note then the last culinary use of the fruit and count the number of letter to find H.
