Geocache Description:

This is a small cache hidden in Veterans Park in Marshfield. Stealth is a must for this cache. Please make an effort to re-hide the cache right where you found it. BYOP.

Note: The cache is not hidden on any of the monuments.

From the City of Marshfield's homepage:

This area was deeded to the city on January 11, 1909,
by George C Beach for public park purposes. At one time
it was known as Doege Park. The present name,
"Veterans Park," was chosen Sept. 7, 1928, as a living
memorial to the soldiers who fought and died in World War I.

A monument at the park was dedicated May 30, 1938.
In 1997, the American Legion Post 54, Veterans of
Foreign Wars Post 1866, VVA Chapter 549 and DAV
Chapter 57 dedicated the Cobra AH-IS Helicopter at the
apex of the park. The helicopter had flown combat
missions in the Vietnam War.

The cache is not on any of the memorials or in the vicinity of the Cobra helicopter. Please be respectful of other visitors while searching for this cache, and if you feel the park may be too busy to safely make a log, please come back and try another time.
