Geocache Description:

Lake Wilson Challenge Number One. A Series For Advanced Cachers or For Cachers Who Want to Advance. Park at the East end of the dam near the boat launching area. Park at the pavillion during high water You need to enter the coordinates for the following Benchmarks into your GPSr as they will be needed often: Fay Triangulation Station (GG0642) Tunstill Triangulation Station (GG0624) West Fork Benchmark (FH0939)

The cache is on the East side of the lake. The Posted coordinates are for parking. I RECOMMEND YOU KEEP THEM IN YOUR GPSr FOR THE RETURN TRIP TO YOUR WHEELS. You will have to Triangulate to find the Reference Point which is an 8"X12" Vertical rock that protrudes 10 " above ground and has a faded orange ribbon tied around it's base. The Vertical Rock Reference Point is: 2.09 Miles From Fay Triangulation Station GG0642 4.43 Miles From West Fork Benchmark FH0939 2.95 Miles From Tunstill Triangulation Station GG0624 The Cache is a small Ammo Can that is 229 feet with a True Bearing of 322 Degrees to the Vertical Rock Reference Point. The first page of the Log Book contains a Clue to the Lake Wilson Challenge Final Cache. This Cache has been approved by the Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department. RED INK has tested this cache and is the Honorary FTF. isok4me2 is FTF. He is also first to find all seven caches in one trip of Seven Hours. This is the cacher I want on my team.
