You’re invited
to a celebration of the
10th ANNIVERSARY OF GEOCACHING
We can't leave Eugene out of the celebration!
Not when it comes to our favorite hobby/passion/addiction! And not when Groundspeak is issuing a special 10th anniversary icon for this event. All we need are 10 geocachers in a photo with a sign announcing our event.
When: Sunday, May 2nd
Where: Gilham Park (east side of Gilham Elementary School)
Time: 12:00 noon until 2:00pm
Schedule:
- Begin gathering at noon. You might want to bring a sack lunch – there are picinic tables.
- 12:30pm – 10th Anniversary Photo
- 12:45pm – raffle drawing for prizes, including a 10th anniversary geotag, a Groundspeak volunteer geocoin, and a few other geocaching goodies.
There's a playground for the little ones, and plenty of grass for soccer, football, frisbee, kites....you name it. I'll bring my golfball horseshoes game.
We can play, swap stories, chat about Geowoodstock, talk technology, put faces to names, meet new cachers in the community, and even grab a new geocache or two nearby.
If the weather refuses to cooperate, I'll post a plan B - we can meet undercover a few blocks away!
