Geocache Description:

the cache is at the posted coordinates

This cache is part of a series promoting Girl's skateboarding in Winnipeg, in honour of TechDeckPerson. Skate camps and other supports exist in Manitoba for young boys, but so far not enough girls have been identified to warrant much activity aimed toward them. That said, an US based group SkateLikeAGirl and the Manitoba Skateboarding Coalition have held a girls only event called "Chicks Flip Out" in July for the past 2 years, attracting skaters in their teens and 20s from around the world. So get out there and get your skate on... it's not just for the boys. Sadly, sponsors have pulled out so there will be no event in 2010.

This cache is a small lock-n-lock. The cache contains a number of Tech Deck fingerboards, a log sheet, 2 gel pens and an FTF certificate. Make sure you tuck it in a nicely as it started otherwise it will be muggled for sure.

From WinnipegSkateParks.com:

Transcona Millennium Skatepark is located at 255 Redonda St. It's a modular park with the original ramps built by Skate Concept and the new addition built by Solo Ramps.

From WinnipegSkateboarding.com:

Transcona skatepark was designed and made by Barkman skateparks. its a fairly small skatepark, lots of small quarter pipes ranging from 2ft up to 4.5ft The park has a skate-able picnic bench, a rail, 2 boxes, a couple hubbas ranging in size. The park has pretty rough concrete, not recommend for the experienced skateboarder, but great for beginners that want to practice riding down ramps and ollie-ing up boxes.

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
