This rare, one-of-a-kind, prehistoric animal, affectionately named "Dino Turtle," made its first appearance in Bloomington in 1968. Over the course of the next 40 years, this lumbering 3/4-ton beast frolicked atop the two 10-million gallon water tanks at Reservoir Park on 82nd Street and Penn. That is until recently, when the government captured the creature and relocated it to its new home in this natural environment park on Overlook Drive.
Dino Turtle always enjoys making new friends. Stop by and pay a visit to this famous and fun-loving Bloomington mascot.
